Building project update

Thank you all so much for your patience and prayers as we continue pursuing the vision God has given us with this building project.  As we all had hoped, the original plan included the potential of starting inside renovations as early as this month (Jan 2022); however, given the current COVID conditions and some staffing shortages for Myler (our hired construction management company), this timeline is delayed.  We are now hoping to start inside renovations in the early spring.  Despite the delay on the start of construction, the project is still in motion...

  1. Our building committee, which is a good balance of representatives from our elder board, finance team, staff, and construction-wise congregants,  has been assembled and is regularly meeting with the Myler team.
  2. Our financials are increasingly encouraging as the Lord continues to provide above and beyond for our regular operational needs as well as the additional building project needs (thank you so much for your faithfulness to the Lord in this area!).  The finance team has also started shopping for financing and has already received some promising bank proposals and rates.
  3. Our elders have been developing a strong plan of ministry in anticipation of our "displacement" when inside renovations begin.  During this time our worship center and much of our indoor space will be under construction for 8-12 weeks.  Even so, we have a plan of ministry that includes the gracious offer of a nearby church for us to use their worship center for an in-person worship service during displacement.  Along with this in-person option will be provided a refined online option for those who may prefer that option.  Details on this plan will be more clearly communicated when we near the start of inside construction.

Please join us in seeking the Lord prayerfully on behalf of the ministry and the progression of this building project.  Pray for wisdom for our leadership, for God to supply Myler with their needs, and for God to keep using FBN mightily as we wait. Join us also in praising the Lord for the motion that is occurring, for the provision He has given, and for the faithful people (YOU) He is using in it all.  Thank you!
