Open Doors Proud Christian day 3

It’s not always easy to bring up spiritual things, but Colossians 4:6 reminds us: “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Jesus had a way of turning ordinary conversations into life-changing moments. You can do the same. Sometimes all it takes is a small step—like asking someone what they believe, or sharing a hope you have in Christ. You don’t have to force it—just look for open doors and walk through them. But even if the door is only slightly cracked open for conversation, that is all that is needed to offer a quick invitation to Easter services at Valley Church where the gospel will be clearly shared. A simple church invite is significantly valuable, and so is the process in your mind and heart leading up to that invitation.

Reflection: What might some easy one-liners be to open the door for spiritual conversation? Think of some things that might work in your context. As you do, here are a few options: Ask someone “Are you excited for Easter” and then share why you are excited. Sincerely ask someone “How are you doing?” and then listen for their highs and lows to which you can respond “Praise God” or “I’ll be praying for that.”
